I’m at the airport on this cold dark morning, on my way to the interview with the man who contacted us just before the holidays. I must say it feels good to take some action concerning the case. As I wrote earlier – or did I? – this is the first tip someone is bringing into the case that does not come from “archival” types but from a “normal” citizen with a “bigger than normal” interest in collecting historical items. I don’t want to get too excited about the possibility that he has something of value, I have been disappointed before…..but you never know until you check. After all, he is on this side of the ocean.
