There may be some who question the timing and benefit of solving this mystery after so many years. To this I say, that time doesn’t heal history’s “wrongs”. This is about justice for the victims and the mere passing of time does not correct the injustice. We know that genocide and hate crimes are still occurring in our world as I write this post. I feel it is very important to demonstrate to the perpetrators of these crimes that no matter how long it takes, there is a world conscience that will seek the truth and never forget the victims. Even though our investigation is focused on the circumstances surrounding the arrest of Anne Frank and her family, the Van Pels family, and Fritz Pfeffer, we are also hoping to solve betrayals of other Dutch Jews that were caught hiding during the war. These individuals may not have gained the same level of attention as Anne Frank, but are no less important. We will also be seeking to give their families closure.
